May 2025
After the events in Florence, Ravenna, Perugia, Lecce and La Spezia, which have kept us busy since January, we were invited to participate in “Degustiamo insieme” (Let’s taste together) organized by Proposta Vini in Treviso.
The Treviso event was particularly challenging for us, because we found ourselves proposing our classic method Pas Dosè sparkling wines to operators who are very well experienced about bubbles.
At the end of this first cycle of appointments we can say that WENO has been, for many, a great discovery: the bubbles based on Verdeca strike those who taste them because they do not expect to find such a particular unicum in the glass. A sensation that is further emphasized in the tasting of the sparkling wine based on Maresco, engaging in an important way also thanks to the long refinement. Surprising, however, is the adjective that has always accompanied the tasting of the rosè “not rosè” based on Susumaniello: its color and its bubbles have truly conquered everyone.

The WENO project caught the attention of Paolo Massobrio, a famous journalist, writer, gastronome and founder of Golosaria, a cultural and taste exhibition that has now established itself at a national level as one of the most important food and wine events.
Massobrio tasted our products and reviewed them publishing the article “Metodo classico, la sfida di Zanzariello nel cuore della Puglia” in “Il Gusto” (link).
The contents of the review have also been taken up and explored in depth in “Il Golosario” (link).
The satisfaction of the two owners – Mino and Alma – is worthily represented by their words: “The spontaneous attention that Paolo Massobrio, one of the most important names in the Italian food and wine scene, wanted to reserve for our winery and the words dedicated to WENO and our products make our dream even more concrete. Despite the young age of the project, they represent an important springboard towards the future and the stimulus to continue along the path of valorizing the native vines of the Itria Valley, with a refined and sophisticated production of absolute value. We will work even harder to ensure that our classic method Pas Dosè sparkling wines are recognized and appreciated, both in Italy and abroad”.

We have a new payoff to match our logo:
UNIQUE PAS DOSÈ WINE FROM VALLE D’ITRIA
It is in English to make us better known abroad, where we have the ambition to bring our wines and our culture.
UNIQUE – Our production comes only from native Apulian vines in general and from the Itria Valley in particular, such as Verdeca, Maresco, Susumaniello and Bianco d’Alessano. Our products are only classic method sparkling wines.
PAS DOSÉ WINE – After the second fermentation in the bottle, our wines do not require the addition of sugar during the degorgement, that is, during the final phase of production.
FROM VALLE D’ITRIA – We are proud to be Made in Italy, proud to be Made in Puglia and enthusiastic to be Made in Valle d’Itria
December 2024
After a first year of initial partnership, we decided to renew, also for 2025, the collaboration with Proposta Vini, the wine distributor throughout Italy since 1984.
The collaboration aims to raise awareness of the WENO brand in the Italian HoReCa channel and promote our classic method Pas Dosè sparkling wines made with native vines from the Itria Valley: Verdeca, Maresco, Susumaniello and Bianco di Alesssano.
Thanks to Proposta Vini we will be able to participate in “Degustiamo insieme” B2B events organized to promote the products of the catalog to the customers of our distributor, starting from the presentation of the 2025 catalog that will take place in January at the Leopolda premises in Florence.
For our young company, absolutely determined to establish itself, having been chosen and being part of the Proposta Vini project is certainly a source of pride and a reason to continue along the path we have taken.
